Dayli may collect the following personal information about you.

a. Account Registration

To register for an account with Dayli, you must use the "Sign in with Apple" option. Upon registration, we receive information from Apple, such as your email address and optional private relay email.

You can manage your account settings and permissions from the Apple ID settings on your device.

b. Profile Page & User-Generated Content

After you register for an account with Dayli, a profile will be created for you (“Profile”). Your Profile will be populated with information you provide, such as your name, username, and/or profile picture (“User-Generated Content”). This information is only visible to you and is not publicly accessible.

Your Profile will also include details about your progress within the app, such as the goals you’ve set, your activity statistics, and any achievements you earn. This information is visible only to you and is used to enhance your learning experience.

Dayli may scan or review User-Generated Content, or share it with third-party content moderation services, to ensure compliance with our Community Guidelines. We may restrict or delete User-Generated Content if it violates these guidelines or for any other reason.

c. AI-Generated Content

Dayli uses Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) to generate personalized content, such as lessons, exercises, or recommendations, tailored to your preferences and progress.

When you interact with AI-generated content, certain information, such as your learning progress, preferences, and responses, may be shared with AI service providers (e.g., OpenAI) to enhance the quality of the content generated. These providers may retain a copy of your inputs for their own purposes. To protect your privacy, we recommend that you avoid submitting any personal or confidential information when interacting with AI-generated content.

d. Activity Data & IP Addresses

When you use Dayli, we may generate and process pseudonymized data about your usage. This includes browser and device data, log data, IP addresses, and user IDs, some of which may be assigned by third-party providers.

This data is private and is processed for the following purposes:

• To ensure the security, operability, and stability of our services, including defense against cyber-attacks, based on our legitimate interest.

• To analyze user behavior and optimize our products, improve customer satisfaction, and support error analysis.

• For scientific research purposes in areas such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and deep learning. Data shared with third parties for research purposes is anonymized to protect your privacy.

• To measure our reach and track conversions, including the performance of our business affiliate partners.

e. PostHog
When you use Dayli in our app or on our website, some of your activity will be logged by a service called PostHog. PostHog captures and analyzes your activity to provide us with data that helps us improve the Dayli experience.

PostHog does not record sensitive personal information such as usernames, names, profile images, email addresses, or passwords. However, PostHog records usage patterns (e.g., clicks, mouse movements, scrolling, and typing), technical details (e.g., browser, device type, operating system, screen size, and script errors), navigation data (e.g., pages visited, referrers, URL parameters, and session duration), and interaction data (e.g., session progress and feature usage).
